About the Competition

The International Employer of the Year competition seeks organizations in Finland that have excelled in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining immigrants and international talent. Through this competition, JCI Finland aims to highlight employer success stories and inspire more organizations to hire foreigners, who play a crucial role in Finland’s future economic growth.

Launched in 2021 by JCI United, the competition originally focused on identifying the most international employer in Pirkanmaa. It has since expanded nationwide and is now held annually. The nomination period for 2025 runs from May 1 to May 31.

"...Finland’s future prosperity depends on our ability to attract and retain skilled professionals from around the world, and this initiative serves as a tool to advance that goal.

Recognizing employers can foster a positive shift in attitudes.

By encouraging companies to highlight their approach to international professional, the competition contributes to a more dynamic and resilient labor market. In doing so, it not only supports the aspirations of job seekers but also strengthens Finland’s reputation as a country that values skill and ambition and different backgrounds.
